Thank you for your interest in our full Illinois Concealed Carry course. This course is designed to take the beginner and help them become more comfortable and confident handling and carrying a pistol. It is broken up into 2, 8 hour classes, Day 1 and Day 2
This is our NRA Basics of Pistol shooting. In this class you will learn about the different types of modern pistols, ammuntion, marksmanship, and most importatly safety.
The course is split into 2 parts, online and in person. You will go through and complete an online set of learning modules with a test at the end. This is a go at your own pace learning style. After completion of the online training you will meet with me in person for the follow up portion.
Expect the follow up class to be about 5 hours. We will go over what you learned in your online training, safely handle the different types of pistols, and go through the shooting qualification. You must pass the shooting qulification to obtain your certificate. This shooting qualification requires that you shoot a total of 30 rounds from 3 different distances. 10 rounds from 5 yards, 10 rounds from 7 yards, and 10 rounds from 10 yards. The minimum passing score is 21 rounds within the black portion of a B27 target. Don’t sweat it, you will be just fine!
This is the last 8 hours of Illinois Concealed Carry. In this class we will discuss the FOID law, Federal firearm laws, Transportation, Carry law, Use of Force, and Officer Interaction.
